A tasty night is planned in Atascosa

Eric Brauchle will provide live music at this year’s Taste of Atascosa.

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Atascosa is back and better than ever Wednesday, November 2 at Pleasanton Country Club from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for the fun and tasty evening event, which features delicious food and live music included. There will also be a silent auction and live entertainment by Eric Brauchle.

The best local restaurants and eateries offer you the best taste of their food – sweet and savory. 2021 Taste of Atascosa Grand Champion winner Texas Prime BBQ will be back, and a new entrant that locals are crazy about will be Hippie Crawfish. There will be a wide variety of Atascosa County’s best dishes including Café Chris, Sely’s, Drop the Sauce BBQ, Twelve 28 Bakery, Southern Sweets Bakery, Red Velvet Café & Bakery, The Potato Company, The Office Bar & Grill and many more . Follow the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and Pleasanton Express Facebook pages for updates.

“We were so excited to bring Taste of Atascosa back last year and to promote some of our finest local restaurants,” said Cindy Mumm, executive director of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. “The event exceeded our expectations with such a large and happy crowd. We look forward to helping them grow and nurture these wonderful companies.”

Last year it was a battle of the best as those in attendance voted on their choice of champion. 1st place Grand Champion was Texas Prime BBQ, 2nd place Reserve Grand Champion went to The Backyard Kitchen, Cowboys Smoke House BBQ won 3rd and 4th place went to The Office Bar & Grill, 5th place went to Chrizzy’s Creation and Best Booth on Southern Sweets.

Chamber is so excited to have Eric Brauchle as their live entertainment. Eric is no stranger to the Corpus Christi region’s music scene. As the frontman of the band Dead Reckon, he played South Texas country and hillbilly jazz in bars and breweries around Corpus. But despite calling home Eric Corpus, he has a strong bond with Pleasanton. The 26-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist spent his formative years hunting and having fun on his family’s ranch just north of Pleasanton.

A big thank you to the following sponsors who helped make Taste of Atascosa – Gold possible: Paisleys, Price Chevrolet, Allways Auto Group, Ford of Pleasanton, Critzer Compression, Security State Bank Sely’s and Pleasanton Express. Silver: Rakowitz Engineering, Hurley Funeral Home, Muddy Paws, Chicoine Insurance, and Eagle Lube

Don’t miss this opportunity to taste a variety of food and drinks from the best chefs and chefs! Entry to the restaurants is free and there are still spaces available for those who wish to attend. Contact Cindy Mumm at (830) 569-2163 for details.
