Gold prices today at Rs 46,390 per 10g, silver sales at Rs 60,000 per kg

Gold (24 carats) is being sold in India on Monday for 46,390 rupees per ten grams. According to the Good Returns website, silver sells for 60,000 rupees per kg.

The price of gold jewelry varies in India, the second largest consumer of the metal, due to excise duties, government taxes and fees.

In New Delhi and Mumbai, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were sold for Rs 45,550 and 45,390, respectively. In Chennai, the yellow metal sold for 43,710 rupees, according to the website.

In Delhi, 10g of 24-karat gold sells for 49,690 rupees and the price in Mumbai is 46,390 rupees.

In Chennai, gold is selling at Rs 47,690 this morning. For Calcutta the price is Rs 48,350.
