Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Center athletes take the podium at the provincial championships

Five KGTC athletes topped the podium in their respective divisions – Gavin Dodd (Senior Double-Mini), Kristina Dodd (Senior Double-Mini), Serena Hughes (Trampoline), and Seb Chalmers-Owega and Aaron McLeod (Synchro).

In the doubles mini, Chalmers-Owega and Aaron McLeod won silver and Hughes bronze. In the trampoline, Aaron McLeod took silver and Chalmers-Owega and Brooklyn Johnsen took bronze.

Isabella Sewell and Elizabeth Endean St-Pierre won silver in synchro.

Podium finishers in the tumble include Kristina Dodd and Johnsen, who both won silver, and Hughes, who won bronze.

Hermione Loehr (fourth), Mason Hill (fifth), Elizabeth McLeod (eighth), Endean St-Pierre (eighth), Sewell (ninth), Isabella Scallon (11th) and Camryn Elder (12th) were in the doubles mini Mission.

Rounding out the trampoline contenders are Elizabeth McLeod (fifth), Cheyenne Haywood Farmer (sixth), Hill (sixth), Sewell (seventh), Endean St-Pierre (eighth), Loehr (eighth), Elder (10th) and Scallon (12th). ).

Elizabeth McLeod and Elder placed fourth in the synchro action, as did Loehr and Johnsen.

KGTC athletes also competed in the state artistic championships.

Saoirse VanWerkhoven placed ninth in her class and finished sixth in vault, second in beam and eighth in floor.

Halle Bean finished seventh in vault and beam and third in floor to finish ninth in her division.

In their respective categories, Brooklyn Mallais placed ninth on beam and 10th on beam, Dae-lynn Chipiuk placed eighth on vault, Stephanie Tynan placed 10th on beam, Emily VanRoosbroeck placed ninth on beam, and Alexis Cloet denied seventh on the beam.
