Thiruvananthapuram: In a devastating attack, Thavanur MLA KT Jaleel claimed that IUML leader PK Kunhalikutty betrayed Panakkad Thangal for “four silver coins“.

“The real culprit behind the curtain is Kunhalikutty, who paved the way for the enforcement agency to interrogate Thangal,” Jaleel said. He spoke at a press conference in the Congregation’s media room in Thiruvananthapuram.

“The complaint against Thangal must be withdrawn and sent to Kunhalikutty. Although Kunhalikutty claims to be ignorant of the alleged dealings via the Chandrika daily newspaper accounts, he does not demand that the notice against Thangal be withdrawn, ”Jaleel asked.

He also said that Kunhalikkutty got away scot-free despite skimming millions of rupees. “The people who love Thangal and the Muslim League are hurt by his step and there is an uproar against Kunhalikutty in the party.”

He claimed they pooled Rs 4.5 billion in an attempt to pay the UAE 6 billion rupee printing fee for Chandrika issuance. “The UAE issue stopped in January of this year. Without paying the fees to the UAE company, the collected money was pocketed by people in Kerala. “

Chandrika daily only has a PDF edition outside of Kerala, which is in Qatar. “Kunhalikutty named his confidants top positions in the KMCC. He did this to redeem money; not for upgrading KMCC or Muslim League, ”said Jaleel.
